The Axis Sleeve was the flagship of the Lifefactory Premium line. The unique overlapping design improves grip, minimizes the precarious nature of glass, and allows constant physical contact with the core materials of the Lifefactory brand, natural glass and silicone. The eye catching design also encourages a subtle communication of an allegiance to zero waste living.
The final model was built entirely in Solidworks making the transition to engineering and then production a really smooth process.
Inspiration came from a variety of sources, all revolving around an active sporty active lifestyle. Lifefactory had a keen understanding their customer at the start of the project. This allowed for a easy transition into the design phase where the form came together quickly.
